Explain the four sources, or fuels, for motivation to perform physical activity. Give specific examples of how these fuels can be put into practice by leaders in both exercise and sport contexts.
This assignment consists of three parts:
(1) Sample Selection
Recommend the steps that should be taken to draw the particular sample described below. Format your response as a procedure.
A stratified sample of 75 doctors, 75 lawyers and 75 engineers who belong to a professional organization in that you belong to.
A simple random sample of 150 subscribers to your local newspaper.
A systematic sample of 250 subscribers from a subscriber list of a trade publication.
(2) A Priori Power Analysis
Download the G*Power software provided, and then use the software to submit the following:
a. Calculate the estimated sample size needed when given these factors:
one-tailed t-test with two independent groups of equal size
small effect size (see Piasta, S.B., & Justice, L.M., 2010)
beta = .2 (Reminder: Power = 1 – beta)
Assume that the result is a sample size beyond what you can obtain. Use the compromise function to compute alpha and beta for a sample half the size.
Indicate the resulting alpha and beta.
Analyze the result and decide if the study should be conducted with a smaller sample size. Explain your rationale.
In the context of Type I and Type II error.
Include a visual of the G* Power output matrix.
b. Calculate the estimated sample size needed to perform an ANOVA (fixed effects, omnibus, one-way) when given these factors:
ANOVA (fixed effects, omnibus, one-way)
small effect size
beta = .2
Include a visual of the G* Power output matrix.
(3) Intended Research Sampling Method
Describe the sampling method that would be appropriate for your intended research.
Outline the problem statement, purpose statement, and research questions.
Describe the population of interest (also referred to as the theoretical population).
Identify the sampling frame to be used to recruit participants.
List criteria to be met for an interested person to participate in the research study.
Compute an estimated sample size.
Describe the recruitment procedure that might be used to draw the actual sample.
Length: Your paper should be between 5 – 10 pages not including title and reference page. Results of the G* power analysis that will add length to the paper.
References: Include a minimum of five (5) scholarly sources.
Prompt: If “Most services are characterized by an encounter between a service provider and a customer” (Bordoloi, p. 95), then “This interaction, which defines the quality of the service in the mind of the customer, is called a ‘moment of truth’ (Bordoloi, p. 95). It is this “moment in time” when your customer “is evaluating the service and forming an opinion of its quality” (Bordoloi, p. 95). Each of these “moments of truth” is an opportunity “to influence the customer’s perceptions of the service quality” (Bordoloi, p. 95). What does this look like in your current or future
business model? Describe some of your current or expected moments of truth. Once you have answered that, how will you continually change the “mind of the customer” to make sure these moments of truth positively impact your organization?

ou have read in Swink that “every process has a constraint.” You have also viewed the TED Talks Video on Nicola Tesla. Using information from the text book and what you have learned about Tesla answer these questions:
Think about your current or past organization and write about a process in detail and then explain a constraint that process creates. You are to write 200 – 300 words to identify the process and then another 150 words to describe the constraint to include what innovations that could be applied to mitigate these constraints. What “new ideas” can you bring? Be inventive! Use APA and cite the text book at least once. Total number of Words should be between 350 to 450. Consider what innovations that could be applied to mitigate these constraints. What “new ideas” can you bring? Be inventive!
Select three of the ten references from your Reference List assignment. Create an annotated bibliography for each of the three references.
Each annotation must have 150-200 ws, making a total of 450-600 ws for the entire assignment. Each annotation should have the following elements:
APA style reference of the article being annotated
A paraphrased summary of the article (See note on paraphrasing below.)
An assessment of why it is a scholarly reference
A reflection on how it is applicable to your research
Note: Go to the Student Success Center and search key words “Preparing Annotated Bibliographies” for help with this assignment.
Note on Step 2 Paraphrasing: Paraphrasing the ideas of others is a requirement in academic writing and graduate study. Paraphrasing is using your own words to restate ideas or information from a source material. As you write each annotation use the following paraphrasing guidelines.
There are three main steps to paraphrasing:
Identify the original idea(s) in the article
Identify general points regarding the idea(s)
Summarize the general points of the article in your own words
Follow the steps above for all three references you chose.
